Our Farmers
South Caernarfon Creameries is a farmer owned co-operative, so all of our member farmers who supply us with their milk also own a share in the company.
Our milk has been recognised as consistently of higher quality than the national average; it's higher in fat and protein and lower in cell counts. Our numerous awards just prove this further. What's more, the average herd size is smaller than the national average and we even have dedicated herds who produce organic and Jersey milk.
Our member farmers' 'milk field' goes way beyond the local area of the Llŷn Peninsula and includes North and mid Wales. To maintain quality, our member farmers are audited regularly in line with the requirements for the Red Tractor Scheme and our own, internal quality standards.
