Milk Bags
We were one of the first companies in the UK to pack milk into bags. It's a logical step towards helping reduce plastic packaging waste. A milk bag takes 85% less plastic than a conventional 2 pint poly bottle, and what's more our milk bag is completely recyclable!
Although the milk is packed into a 2 pint bag we've made sure that the product is easy to store and to use. It can be laid down and stacked in fridges and when ready to use, the bag is simply placed into a plastic jug, the corner of the bag is snipped and the milk is poured as required.
The milk bags are packed in South Caernarfon's Llefrith brand but can also be offered to anyone who demands excellent quality milk but wants to address their packaging waste and environmental policies. It is currently being used by a national chain of premium cafés and is packed in their own branded packaging.
We also pack milk into single serving third pint bags (189ml). Again, the savings on packaging waste is significant which is why the local council is supporting this initiative in schools, day-care centres and residential homes for the elderly.
