Record Profits

South Caernarfon Creameries have reported a record profitable year for the period to March 2017. An operative profit of nearly £3 million (9%) on sales of £33.1 million was achieved compared to  a profit of £389k (1.2%) on sales of £31.7 million in 2016. Golden Anniversary for Fred

Maintenance man Fred Williams has recently celebrated his golden work anniversary at South Caernarfon Creameries, clocking up 50 years’ service. Starting out as a carpentry apprentice at the farmer-owned co-operative in 1967, fifty years later Fred’s still working as hard as ever and has become a valued and trusted member of staff. Lidl’s Annual Conference

Within a few months of being accepted by Lidl to supply all their cheese to its Welsh stores; South Caernarfon Creameries was invited to be one of only eight suppliers to Lidl’s Annual Conference to showcase the new Welsh cheese to Lidl’s top team. Welsh Air Ambulance

South Caernarfon Creameries’  annual Christmas 2016 raffle raised money towards the Welsh Air Ambulance.  The Air Ambulance is wholly dependent on public donations and does not receive any support from the National Lottery or the Government.  It can reach anywhere in Wales within twenty minutes and each mission costs approximately £1,500.00.  This service is very much valued and needed in rural Wales and the support shown by our staff only proves this further.  There is always much interest in the …

Lidl UK, Good Housekeeping’s ‘Best Supermarket 2016’ has introduced a new range of Welsh Cheddar cheese under Lidl’s ‘Valley Spire’ brand. The new product will be available exclusively in Wales and the product selection is supplied by South Caernarfon Creameries having recently agreed a new contract with Lidl UK.  South Caernarfon Creamerie will provide authentic Welsh Cheddar to Lidl and also continue to supply the grocer with a Mature Cheddar from our own brand, Dragon, in Lidl’s Welsh stores.
