Dairy Range
Milk
Whole milk, semi skimmed and skimmed milk are packed into 1-pint, 2-pint and 4-pint polybottles. South Caernarfon Creameries supplies the local market, via doorstep deliveries and local convenience stores, with milk in polybottles with bright and colourful bilingual labels under the South Caernarfon Creameries Llefrith brand. Milk is packed for a range of retailers too and supplied all over Wales under their own label.
Organic Milk
We also pack organic milk in our dairy and this is supplied under the South Caernarfon Creameries brand locally or for retailers own brands for the Welsh market.
Cream and Buttermilk
Welsh cream is packed in the dairy and is supplied to the local market in bright bilingual packaging in both 8oz (227ml) and 5oz (142ml) cartons. Buttermilk is made in the dairy from skimmed milk, which is cultured overnight causing the milk to thicken and acidify so that it tastes like yoghurt. Buttermilk is a traditional ingredient used in Welsh cakes. South Caernarfon Creameries buttermilk is potted into a distinctive 8oz (227ml) orange pot with biligual wording and is sold regionally.
Butter
We make our butter by churning cream until it transforms into sweet cream butter. We can then add a range of different salt contents, we even make bespoke recipes for some of our customers. Our whey cream, which is produced when we make cheese, is churned into salted whey butter and sold as a bulk butter. For retail customers we can pack butter into a variety of convenient sizes dependent upon the required use. There's the 7g single catering portions, the 250g retail pack and the bulk 25kg boxes used by food manufacturers.
